Bra Tops-

A guide to wear, care, and tricks to get the best out of your piece

Video

Here you will find a short video of one of our models putting on her bra, starting from the bra loose hanging over the chest with the neck strap stretched and warmed, and finishing with the bra top properly strapped in and adjusted.
Disclaimer: If you have any difficulty viewing or applying the techniques explored in this video, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you on an individual basis.

Pictures and Slideshow

We have complied a visual guide to how to put on our Bra Tops, as the design is different than most other bras.
You will also find that the Straps to your bra are stretchy, so they may need to be gently stretched out before putting your top on. This will encourage them to settle at the same level as they will after an hour or so of wear, when the rubber has fully warmed and relaxed. Please be careful if your piece is very cold, as the rubber will be more brittle under these conditions.

Lay out your Scale Maille bra top so it is flat, and untwist the straps.

Follow the bottom most row all the way across, and find the last link in the row, on the bottom most corner.

Attach the hook on the end of the strap to this link. (This should be done after the bra is on, not before. We are showing it without the model for clarity)

Caring for your Bra Top

Our bra tops are made from anodized and un-anodized aluminum scales, and use Stainless Steel links. We sometimes use Copper, Brass, Mild Steel, bronze, and plastic in our scales.
The straps are made out of EPDM rubber, a latex free rubber commonly used in roofing applications and for Gasket seals, and aluminum.

Because your bra is almost entirely metal, there is little need to care for it. Avoid abrasive surfaces and cleaners, as this may scratch off the colored oxide coating. Wash with warm soapy water, and rub or buff with a soft cloth. You may find over time that a light gray dust builds up on the scales or comes off on your skin, this is normal, and it will wash off with soap and water. The oxide is non-toxic, and Aluminum Oxide can be found in many common applications, including some cosmetics and sunscreens.
The rubber straps will wear over time, and should be kept free of solvents or heavy oils, as this can damage any rubber if left in contact for an extended period.
Chlorine and salt water are fine for your bra, it can safely be worn in the pool or the ocean, but to avoid salt deposits building up on the bra, it is best to give it a quick rinse with clean water afterwards.
